Believe or not, some beaches can be enjoyed even if you do not swim in them. This is the case with Deep Water Bay. The water quality here is not as good as that of Repulse Bay, but it is still appreciated by many because it provides the locals a serene environment, in contrasts to the bustles of the city.
Who wouldn’t appreciate the convenience of a short travel from Central, and yet, it can give the kind of relaxation you are looking for.
Deep Water Bay, like most beaches in Hong Kong has changing rooms, shower facilities, lifeguards and barbecue pits. To complete your simple getaway, eat at Copacabana or Coco Thai - the only restaurants in the area. You may also opt to buy food from refreshment kiosks.
Nearby attraction is the best theme park in Hong Kong - Ocean Park.
How to get there: Take MTR to Central Station. From there, ride Bus 6 or 6x from the Exchange Square Bus Terminus.
