Description
***Please note that the food cost is NOT included in the tour, thank you.*** Hi there! I am Ashley J (“memorytxture”) based in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is known for being a paradise for foodies, and the food culture is astonishingly rich and so much fun! As a foodie, cooking enthusiast, and researcher of HK cultural heritage, I researched & wrote about Cantonese, Chiu Chow & Hakka food. I'd love to share my love for HK food with you!!! My availabilities in general: Tuesday to Saturday: 18:30 - 22:00 [evening - nighttime] Sunday: 15:00 - 22:00 (special requests can be dealt if Sunday morning is the only time slot you can do) Monday: usually not available besides special requests The food tour can be 100% personalized based on your interest! Here are just some references: - Food Type: dim sum, street food, Dai Pai Dong (a type of open-air food stall), siu mei (roasted meat, i.e. roasted goose, BBQ pork) - Unique Drinks: herbal tea, HK milk tea, pickled lemon with 7 up, etc - Places to eat: award-winning local cafes, stylish bars, vegetarian food inside a temple, etc. - Places to visit: local fruit market, local dried seafood street, etc. - Cuisine Style: Cantonese, Chiu Chow, Hakka, Sichuan style, Shanghaiese, other Asian cuisines (Vietnam, Thai, Indian, Nepoli, etc.), etc. It'll be great if you are also a fan of Anthony Bourdain, he inspires me and I can take you to places he went to! More about me: I am a writer, translator, photographer, art enthusiast, hardcore lover of Hong Kong, and researcher in Hong Kong Cultural Heritage (i.e. from street food to cuisines, from religions to traditional festivals, etc.) and East Asian culture. I have been living in Hong Kong for 11 years and my local friends always say that I know HK better than them, as I put a lot of effort into learning the local language Cantonese & all the local knowledge here. I have been making friends all over the world through doing tours and photography. I can't wait to meet up with you and share the stories of this city! *** Important Notes *** 1. I can combine this tour with a photoshoot if you want with some extra fee, we can discuss about it! 2. Don't hesitate to contact me even if your time is tight, the time can be very flexible, from half an hour to a couple of days!Includes
