Indian
Not particularly authentic as the food is tailored more towards the Hong Kong palate, Hin Ho Curry has seen better days, before its Michelin star rating fame/curse. Chronically understaffed, employees are uninformed and extremely rushed, which leads to all kinds of issues, including an air of rudeness, unnecessarily long wait times, and order/billing mistakes. The décor is older, and the seating is rather tight.
While being very reasonably priced, the food is definitely the highlight. They have many different types of curry, and five grades of spiciness. Specialties include their Butter Naan, Mutton Curry, and Chicken Vindaloo (very spicy, as they will tell you). In typical Indian fashion, expect to wait around 30 minutes for your food after ordering.
Located in a very famous eating street Shau Kei Wan, locals flock here. It’s very near to Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defense (about 15 minutes by foot).
