Shanghai
This chain offers delicious, edible works of art in typical Shanghaiese fashion. A classy place with wooden Zen décor and a beautiful view of the harbour, you feel like you’ve been transported to Shanghai where it originated.
The atmosphere here at the TST branch is lovely: quiet, formal, well-lit from the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, and elegant. This is not a place to bring little children, or come for a quick meal. Food here should be savoured.
Typical dishes include Sautéed Fresh River Shrimp (served with vinegar on top), Noodles with Scallion-Flavoured Oil, and of course their Siu Long Bao. The food is fresh, with delicate yet elaborately balanced flavours that are quite simply, incredible, even by mega-foodie standards.
Expect to spend $HK100-200 per person for lunch and dinner.
