Parks and Gardens
Coined as the 'green lung' at the center of urbanized Kowloon, Kowloon Park is visited by many tourists because of its wide range of beautiful flowers, birds, and trees. More than HK$300 million was spent by the Hong Kong Jockey Club into making this 13.5-hectare park. It was built in classical Chinese style. Not a single cent was wasted though, because it houses a lavish scenic spots namely:
Maze Garden
Color Garden
Chinese Garden (features lotus ponds and rocks waterfalls)
Roof Garden
Banyan Court
Bird Lake (features over 200 birds including swans, flamingos, and ducks) Additionally, the park has a small aviary and establishments such as a mini soccer pitch, Fitness Trail, Children's Playground, Discovery Playground, Sculpture Walk, a piazza, a big swimming pool and a sports centre.
Tour:
Fridays: 7:30-9:30am - bird watching
Sundays: 2:30-4:30 - free demonstrations of lion/dragon dance, and martial arts on Sculpture walk
Sundays and Public Holidays: 1pm-7pm - art fair where stalls sell Chinese handicrafts and artworks and tutorials such as pottery, straw-weaving, calligraphy, carving, paper crafts, floral artwork, sand painting. (Services available are silhouette cutting, sketching or caricature, and photography).

Opening hours: 5apm-midnight daily.
Swimming pool: 6:30am-12nn, 1pm-5pm, and 6pm-10pm daily
Sports Centre: 7am-11pm daily
Bird Lake: 6:30am-6:45pm
Aviary: 6:30pm-6:45 during March to October
6:30pm-5:45pm during November to February
Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre: 10am-6pm on Mondays to Wednesdays
