Museums and Galleries
What makes this museum special is that its location has always been an interesting setting since the 18th century. Originally a Hakka clan¡¦s fortified village, the museum features restored rooms, religious shrine, meeting room and the entry gate of the village.
The village is symmetrical and compact and allowed the efficient construction of the village¡¦s wall. It was vacated in 1980 and was converted into a museum in 1986 to 1987.
Touring the village will educate you on the life of the Hakka people 200 years ago. Photography is one activity you can do here.
