The Tsing Ma Bridge presumably got its name from connecting the words 'Tsing' from Tsing Yi and 'Ma' from Ma Wun Islands.

Along with the Kap Shui Mun Bridge, they form the so-called 'Lantau Link' which is the critical connection between Lantau Islands and the urban districts of Hong Kong as these two bridges are the only way to travel by land to Lantau Islands.
Tourists can view the bridge from either the north eastern Tsing Yi Trunkroute Viewing Terrace or the north western Lantau Link Visitors Centre. If you prefer decent views with additional information & souvenirs relating to the Tsing Ma Bridge, then you're better off going to Lantau Link Visitors Centre.
