HK Beautiful View Locations
One of the most stylish architectural icons in Hong Kong to date, The Victoria Peak presents a dazzling array of restaurants, shops and entertainment venues overlooking Victoria Harbour. From The Peak Tower's top floor, Sky Terrace 428, you can experience an impeccable bird's-eye sweep of the scenery.
Also because of its remoteness, it was chosen as residence of many politicians and celebrities. It was also used to be the homes of early colonial administrators of Hong Kong. Of course, the remoteness and coolness of the residences here come at a big price. It is the most expensive real estate in the world.
The Victoria Peak is best reached the Peak Tram, where you can enjoy the view of the mountain and the city below (Central, Hong Kong Island) as you go up. Another way to reach and leave The Peak is by bus. It may be slower than the tram but it allows you to tour the many parts of Central and passes by Happy Valley Racecourse - the most famous horse riding racecourse in Hong Kong.
For hiking enthusiasts, a hiking trail named Lugard-Harleck Road is an easy trail to follow.
Don't forget to pop into Madame Tussauds inside the Peak Tower and meet your celebrity and sports idols in wax form. On your way down back to the city, explore the other landmarks in Central which are all worth noting such as the HSBC Headquarters, Bank of China or Hong Kong Park.
